Manager of Automotive Finance and Sales

Key responsibilities encompass but are not limited to:

Finance Duties:

  • Initiate a seamless transition from sales to finance during customers' vehicle acquisition process.
  • Uncover customers' financial needs through a comprehensive interview process.
  • Offer a detailed menu to customers elucidating their financing options and additional products to augment their vehicle ownership experience.
  • Develop advanced product knowledge to confidently suggest financing alternatives and other products to customers.
  • Handle finance transactions, including securing lender approval and ensuring strict adherence to all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Undertake customer follow-ups to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Set and strive to meet sales targets.
  • Ensure punctual and compliant handling of all administrative procedures as per company policy.
  • Deliver a superior customer experience to promote loyalty.

Sales Duties:

  • Oversee daily leads and ensure prompt follow-ups by the sales team.
  • Maintain contact with less recent customers to avoid lead wastage.
  • Authenticate all inactive and lost leads in the system.
  • Confirm the accurate usage of tools by the sales team.
  • Endeavor to affirm appointments.
  • Organize weekly sales meetings and ensure diligent follow-ups.
  • Ensure meticulous completion of paperwork for retail deals.
  • Keep sales staff accountable for their actions and follow-through.
  • Develop and implement effective sales processes for optimal guest experience.
  • Guarantee 100% customer interaction.
  • Review retail deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee and approve all pending items on retail deals, ensuring diligent follow-through.
  • Monitor sales consultant commissions for accuracy.
  • Develop a best-practice sales manual and ensure its implementation.
  • Evaluate customer vehicles for purchase and oversee the transaction.
  • Assess trade vehicles for potential retail purchase.
  • Keep track of emails, phone calls, and customer notes on the record.
  • Negotiate deals to balance profit, customer satisfaction, and an exceptional buying experience.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the dealership’s general manager to analyze forecasts and departmental profits.
  • Define monthly sales targets and formulate strategies to attain them.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee the usage of dealer tags.
  • Assist the comptroller in formulating and implementing policies.
  • Maintain records of passwords for various website logins.
  • Ensure all created documents are properly stored for future reference.

Inventory Duties:

  • Validate online listing of all vehicles with accurate photos.
  • Draft and update car descriptions, ensuring zero spelling errors.
  • Supervise the Inventory Manager, Lot Attendants, and Detailer.
  • Maintain a well-organized and immaculate lot.
  • Ensure prompt retail readiness of new inventory within 72 hours.
  • Monitor daily inventory and stay informed about the location of each vehicle.
  • Assist in identifying vehicles for wholesale.
  • Contribute to price comparisons to align our vehicles with current market value.
  • Ensure visibility of Buyers Guides in all vehicles on the lot.
  • Confirm that all vehicles listed for sale are in working condition and ready for retail.
  • Keep parking spaces clear and accessible for customers.
  • Monitor vehicle issues and report significant problems to the General Manager.
  • Stand in for the Inventory Manager during his/her absence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
